The beach of Marina di Ragusa
Marina di Ragusa is a seaside village of Ragusa, today very famous and known, especially by young people. Its beaches extend for about 2 km of coastline. The Playa Grande beach belongs to the protected nature reserve of the Foce dell’Irminio Oasis.
It is a truly unspoiled and almost wild place, where you can relax in peace. The sand is fine and reddish, the sea clear and blue.
The beaches of Donnalucata
Just 7 km from Marina di Ragusa, there are the beaches of Donnalucata, a fraction of Scicli.
The sand is fine and golden, the sea is turquoise. The beach is very large, giving you the opportunity to relax comfortably even in periods of greatest crowding.
Near the marina the beach is equipped thanks to the presence of a beach that offers bar service and rental of umbrellas and deck chairs.
The beach of Cava d’Aliga
Donnalucata beach borders that of Cava d’Aliga, also a seaside village in Scicli.
Here the sea, thanks to the presence of rocks, rocks and small coves, is even more limpid and turquoise. Ideal for young people, who can play tambourines (or tambeach), a true specialty of Cava d’Aliga, or dive freely from the cliff.
The beach of Punta Secca
Punta Secca beach is the beach of Commissario Montalbano. Punta Secca is a small fishing village, whose sunset over the sea is truly spectacular.
The sand is fine and golden, with rocks that emerge at the surface of the water; right in the vicinity of these, a play of colors and reflections is created in the limpid and crystalline sea.
The area is served by bars and beaches, but there are also free beaches reachable with a walk along the seafront.
The beach of Sampieri
The beach of Sampieri, in the municipality of Scicli, is linked to the fiction of Commissioner Montalbano. The Sampieri coast has the characteristic of being surrounded by dense vegetation and is bordered by a pine forest that offers a bit of coolness during the hottest hours, as well as picnic tables and even some parking for cars.
It is a beach full of several lidos that offer various services, such as the walkway for the disabled and free parking, but for those who love tranquility there are also free beaches where you can stop with your own umbrella.
From the beach you can see Pisciotto’s burnt factory, the Fornace Penna: location of numerous scenes of Inspector Montalbano, known as the famous “Mannera” trap. Here the beach is called “Pisciotto beach”, where there is a cliff from which you can dive into the clear sea.
The beach of Costa di Carro
Another beach of Scicli, located 1 km from Sampieri, is the beach of Costa di Carro. Here the sand is soft and white, with a very clear blue sea. This beach is unspoiled and you will be surprised by the amount of wild flora and fauna: it is an egg laying area for sea turtles. A true spectacle of nature.
The beach of Caucana
Between Punta Secca and Marina di Ragusa, in the territory of Santa Croce Camerina, there is the beautiful beach of Caucana. About 2 km of beach that give you the opportunity to relax comfortably even during the busiest periods. The beach is characterized by a fine and golden sand washed by the limpid and crystalline sea.
