The excursion we propose is a beautiful sunset trekking on the Sciara del Fuoco up to a maximum altitude of 400mt, where you will still have the possibility not only to enjoy a wonderful sunset over the Aeolian archipelago, but also observe the activity of the volcano with its explosions of lava that shine in the night sky.

Departure from our Ashàra Info point located in Piazza San Vincenzo inside the Ingrid Bar.

An unforgettable adventure

Departure scheduled about 2 hours before sunset to admire the spectacular beauty along the side of the Sciara del Fuoco and enjoy the view of the typical Strombolian explosions.

After a short briefing, the excursion will begin that will take us up to the maximum limit allowed by the authorities to ensure maximum safety, excellent observation point of the summit craters and the Sciara del Fuoco, a position that can only be reached if accompanied by an authorized expert volcanological guide.

Landscapes and nature

During the first 2 hours of trekking we will make 2 or 3 intermediate stops to enjoy the view and have the opportunity to immortalize the natural beauty of this wonderful landscape.
On our way we will meet and visit the old cemetery of the island and we will cross the typical Mediterranean scrub.

Once we reach the Sciara del Fuoco, we will stop to admire the spectacular “Strombolian” activity typical of the volcano, and then return to the starting point by crossing the reeds of the island and the old mule track.
