Spiaggia dei Conigli in Lampedusa
Among the most famous beaches in the province of Agrigento, there can only be that of the Conigli, on the southern side of the island of Lampedusa. It is a coast with white sand, surrounded by rocky ridges which together with marl terraces form the magnificent Tabaccara cave. A beach famous for various reasons in addition to its beauty: it is located in front of the Isola dei Conigli (which cannot be visited), is bathed by a spectacular sea and is famous for the particular type of turtles that decide to reproduce here.
Cala Pulcino of Lampedusa
Conigli is therefore not the only beach in Lampedusathat deserves a mention. Cala Pulcino also has white sand, bathed by a crystalline sea that touches all shades of turquoise and with very shallow waters. It is located within a very picturesque gully and is surrounded by a series of caves, which make the environment even more spectacular.
Beaches of Punta Bianca - Monte Grande of Agrigento
Monte Grande is the eastern promontory that delimits the Gulf of Agrigento, while Punta Bianca is a rocky spur that extends to the sea, surrounded by a series of coves. They are of various types, with golden sand and pebbles. Of this area, the coast that goes from Punta Grande to Punta Bianca should be emphasized in particular, due to the particular vegetation present (dwarf palms, sage mentastri and mastic trees).
Scala dei Turchi in Realmonte
It is one of the jewels of the coast of Agrigento, dominated by the promontory of the same name which over the years has taken the form of a sort of natural staircase. The Scala dei Turchi has golden sand is bordered by the imposing cliffs mentioned above and is bathed by a clear and turquoise sea.
Torre Salsa di Siculiana beaches
This beach is located within the Torre Salsa Oriented Nature Reserve, an area of considerable naturalistic value so called because of the tower created in this oasis in the 16th century. The coastline is about 6 kilometers long, extends from Monte Stella to the mouth of the Salso stream and is characterized by golden sand. The landscape is nothing short of spectacular, due to the various colors that characterize this area and which blend here.
Beaches of the Pergolas of Realmonte
They are located in the stretch of coast between Siculiana Marina and Realmonte. They are dominated by a promontory on which the Torre di Monterosso is located, which dates back to the first part of the 16th century. This is one of the many sandy coves in the area, separated from each other by promontories that over the years have been sculpted by the wind and the sea.
Cala Croce in Lampedusa
Near the town of Lampedusa there is this beach, which is a sort of natural inlet located east of Guitgia beach. This cove boasts two sandy beaches which, bathed by the crystalline sea, change color according to the reflections of the sun. The area is well protected from the winds, making it ideal for lovers of calm sea.
It is located a couple of kilometers from Montallegro, as well as from Eraclea Minoa. A long stretch of coast, with fine sand and surrounded by vegetation not so usual given the area in question. This beach has various peculiarities, such as the fact that it is a particularly popular destination for naturists. Furthermore, from Bovo Marina there are splendid views towards Capo Bianco.
Cotta beach of Palma di Montechiaro
Located in the homonymous hamlet in the province of Agrigento, it is characterized by fine and clear sand. This stretch of coast extends from Torre di Gaffe to Ciotta, is well equipped in terms of equipment and is bathed by a transparent sea with seabed that slopes towards the open sea. Furthermore, the area is also characteristic for the presence of an Aragonese watchtower.
Rocca San Nicola
It is located west of the town of Licata, to be precise in the Pisciotto district. We are talking about a beautiful beach about two kilometers long and characterized by very fine sand. Furthermore, it is bordered by dunes to the south and its conclusion coincides with the Rocca di San Nicola. This stretch of coast is very well equipped, attracting thousands of tourists especially in the high season.
Capo San Marco in Sciacca
The beach, located about 7 kilometers from the town of Sciacca, is very suggestive and is dominated by the yellow color (due to the particular shade of the mountains that protect the whole bay). The coast is sandy and bathed by a transparent and immediately deep sea, ideal for diving enthusiasts. The beach also offers glimpses of great effect, as Capo Bianco stands out to the east and Capo Granitola to the west.
