Marina di Modica is located about 20 km from Modica and 15 km from Scicli. The bay, which extends for about 1 km, overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is closed on one side by Punta Regilione and on the other by contrada Pisciotto.<\/p>\n

The place, rich in typically Mediterranean vegetation,is an ideal place to spend your holidays in total tranquility and rest in harmony<\/strong>\u00a0with the surrounding nature, made of prickly pears and agaves. A small forest area protects the golden beach of Sampieri, bathed by a clear sea. The two villages are divided by\u00a0the famous \u201cFornace Penna\u201d<\/strong>, an ancient brick factory, which became the set of one of the episodes of the fiction \u201cIl Commissario Montalbano\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Towards the east, however, there is the beach of\u00a0Maganuto<\/strong>, a wild and fascinating place in whose greenery the \u201cMoretta Tabaccata\u201d, a diving duck at risk of extinction, nests. This beach is truly suggestive characterized by high dunes, reminiscent of the desert, and a\u00a0blue and crystalline sea.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Finally, we must visit the \u201cFornace Penna\u201d, an ancient brick factory, which has become a monument of industrial archeology, which fell into ruin in 1924 due to an arson that destroyed it in a few hours.
